More innocent, and simple time. How it's changed, and not really for the better??
Incredible Camera work! And No Digit improvements!
What A Treat!
19:35 escenas inolvidables de una Diva en toda la extensión de la palabra, de verla así hasta me caso❤
I always rem that line from Fisher Im sick of opening that door every nite and finding you boozed up burned out and ugly but she looked ok to me
Harvey is my favorite actor liz my fav actress so I adore this film
'Women too have the same opportunities as men'. How the world is changing.
This is my eternal love in heaven
Amazing
What a contrast with today. 'On sunny afternoons and evenings the forecourt of the Pitt Rivers museum is thronged with unwashed undergraduates trying to put the world to rights in their own inimitable way...'
My mother spent the war years in Oxford as a VAD (Voluntary Aid Detachment). She was billeted first in the home of Major Rise, owner if Elliston and Cavells Department Store (later Debenhams). Later billeted in Lincoln College, a mens college, but they had all gone to war. She loved Oxford all her life and would visit regularly. Favourite pub The Trout at Wolvercote.
thank you.
Myrna is an immensely talented actress. Her skills are delivered with diabolical sublety. A side-eyed glance here, or a barely visible smirk there, and all done with impeccable timing. One of, if not THE best ever.
Bombay traffic....
Mostly a complete waste of time... Study a lot of old nonsense that had no application in the real world.
WTF! Why weren’t they fighting? Surely by 1941 they were calling up under 21s?!
MEGA -+- DECO! ! FANTASTIC !
Tik tok losers complaining about music cause its not billy eyelash or their favorite cringe anime theme song
Great docu
Very third rate haunting music , like some cheap horror movie music, it spoils the whole experience. There should have been more of the chugging sound of the steam engine.
Oh glory days. I remember them like they were yesterday.
I’m bemused by your character name. I agree I remember Oxford when I was young. I now live in Cornwall my family and grandchildren will remember Cornwall in the same way
Great footage and reportage.... having been there myself, it was lovely to remember....
I know this is unrelated to video, but Bonnie Franklin never got props for being one of the best sitcom moms ever. She was neurotic and too nervous acting, but she really loved Barb and Julie. She was there and did the best she could. Didnt take crap from Julie either. She was good at being mom. I dont like the show in general because its too silly with the janitor all the time, but she was a great mom.
I never get tired of watching it. All the old black and whites are my favorites. Thanks!
I LOVE British literature documentaries from the 1970s!
Absolutely. Must include 1969 Kenneth Clark’s CIVILISATION ! Just saw it on Prime. Imagine a blu ray edition of Dostoyevsky. Wow😊
The last ending this movie its so sad 😢
Jeez, animal abuse, if the monkey was not hit with a pebble from the slingshot...it was assumed. That's animal abuse, even though most have met their demise as far as people, more than likely, if not all, still cruel.
Dont feel bad about it the whole world believes that buddhism comes from india
Genuinely awful music, sounds like the theme song of a house fly
Thank you very much for such a valuable upload. There are some issues with the sound, but it is certainly worth watching all of it.
Toll. Man möchte dabei gewesen sein. Danke
I think by 1980 Good quality cameras came in the market.. But still this video is very poor quality… But any how I enjoyed the video, regardless of quality.. Thank you for uploading this video
Mozart was German, not Austrian,
Great Movie! A lot more than I expected

Awesome documentary
Talk about great acting. So good I felt like I was part of the screen play. Thank you for a great movie!
great documentary
Dr Watson!!
I think her way to siniging was much better since the sixtys
❤ gorgeous ❤
Very good film. I was impressed with the special effects of the flood and the havoc it created. But why did Myrna Loy have to die at the end. Such a beautiful actress and a most talented one. Joe S
Nigel Bruce played a good jerk here. Myrna never even mentioned him after his death scene
I love you Buddha.❤
This documentary is full of colonial hangover. Thankfully things have changed for good.
England has enormous problems of it's own making since Brexit to have a bucket full of angst.
Morris dance tune
I was born 1954 in Oxford. I can remember the culture. Memories. Today you would struggle to find a traditional white British citizen. How times have changed
Harwood. Any relation to Basil?
@@missasinenomineThankyou for your comment. My grandfather was Alfred Edward Harwood born London but relocated to Oxford. My father took my grandfather’s name. I have never tried doing my family history but I did notice Basils father had the name Edward. 🤔
Not true. I live in Oxford.
@@countfosco8535 maybe 🤔 you don’t walk Cowley Road. Blackbird Leys. Headington. Covered market. Tell me do you get out with the name Count maybe you are like 🧛♂️ only at night
@@davidharwood9552 Isidor Ottavio Baldassare Fosco. Once eccentric, bombastic, urbane, intelligent, menacing, and mysterious. Last person to traverse Cornmarket Street in an automobile and escape the clutches of the law. Now retired and lying doggo, main features are decency and propriety.
